Recapture Your Edge
Old equipment that isn't being used is simply an asset or liability on your balance sheet.  Jacobsen can help to restore your old machines to better than new condition with upgrades to the latest electronics, controls and software.

We can also use historical maintenance reports to pinpoint design flaws or points of failure and redesign them to keep your upgraded machines running smoother for longer periods with less maintenance.

Parts removed from a Seifert (now GE) wheel gripper during a retrofit. The result was increased reliability and reduced weight.

Advances in technology have created amazing advances in imaging systems.  Improved image intensifier technology and high resolution digital cameras can capture images with greater resolution and contrast than ever before.  Linear diode arrays can capture very high resolution images with very short scan times.  High voltage generators have also benefited from technological advances.  The new generators are smaller, run cooler and are more stable.  They also have intelligence built in, enabling serial communication, complex user modes and concise diagnostic messages and error codes.

Also offered are upgrades to existing hardware, including x-ray beam shutters for enhanced safety and longer tube life, filters for changing the characteristics of the x-ray beam, and new cameras and optics fitted to existing image intensifiers.  If a new camera is required, Jacobsen offers both traditional analog cameras, both direct to monitor or with image processing through a computer frame grabber, or complete digital solutions using IEEE 1394 or CameraLink® interfaces, with or without image processing.  Upgraded displays are also offered to ensure that any detail picked up by the camera is visible to the operators.
