Jacobsen's MAXIenhace™ is a software package for digitally enhancing and archiving x-ray images.
The software uses special image processing routines to enhance the quality of x-ray images by reducing noise and increasing contrast.
More and more x-ray applications require the ability to see smaller and smaller defects. As defect size decreases, the ability to see those defects is affected by noise that is naturally present in an x-ray system. Jacobsen's MAXIenhance helps to make smaller defects visible by removing the inherent noise and showing a clean image.
MAXIenhance works with the x-ray system at the acquisition stage, using real-time integration for still images or real-time averaging for video. The clean images can be passed directly to the operator's monitor or ADR package, or processed further before being passed on.
