Jacobsen's operator interface is an ergonomically designed cabinet for housing a control computer, multiple monitors including a touchscreen, and buttons, switches, indicators and joysticks.
Jacobsen's HMI for Industrial X-Ray Applications
The figure above shows an operator interface (our own design) of a manual, semi or fully automatic operated machine. The operator interface is 24” (width) x 18” (depth) x 66” (high); 1/3rd of the previous model. The operator interface console is modular (as all other system components) and can be used far away from the machine (100 or 200m). It has 12.1 TFT touch screen interface and minimum number of buttons. This module is PC-based and has its own Base with Ethernet module and I/O’s.
The operator interface has three monitors (two, first for x-ray image presentation and second one for setup of image processing parameters) and a 12.1” TFT flat panel touch screen and control elements necessary for the operation of the system. The operator interface makes it easier for the operator to run the machine from a single location, if operated in semi-automatic mode.
The state of the art industrial 12.1 “ TFT flat panel touch sensitive screen human/machine interface (HMI) gives the operator improved fault diagnostics and reduces the number of push buttons: on left side “CONTROL VOLTAGE ON-OFF”, “DRIVE POWER ON-OFF”, “CYCLE START-STOP”, “MAN/SEMI/AUTO” (key switch), on the right side: “EMERGENCY-STOP” (top), flashing lamps “FAULT”, “SHUTTER CLOSED”, “X-RAY ON”, and “SAFETY BRIDGED” as well as key switch “SAFETY BRIDGED” (below). In the next row below are: “JOYSTICK 1” (left) and “JOYSTICK 2” (right), beneath button bar from left to right: “ACCEPT”, “REPEAT ROTATION”, “PREVOUS VIEW”, “MANUAL INSPECT”, “REJECT”, etc.). Human/machine interface (HMI) can be built according to customers specifications.
