 Jacobsen‘s shielded enclosures are designed for x-ray radiation up to 450 kV at a maximum of 10 mA and complies with all Canadian, US, European and Chinese radiation safety regulations. The radiation shielded enclosure is a steel-lead-steel layered construction.
Note: The radiation shielded enclosure is fully wired with all necessary double safety circuits according to safety requirements. If the Radiation Shielded Enclosure comes with the unipolar or bipolar x-ray system and the X-Ray Safety Package, the whole package is integrated and ready to go!
Standard Radiation Shielded Enclosure
Standard radiation shielded enclosure is designed for x-ray radiation up to 450 kV at maximum 10 mA and complies with all Canadian, US, European and Chinese radiation safety regulations.
Radiation shielded enclosure is a steel-lead-steel construction.
Double-hinged door (2 x 920mm x 1,920mm, for service in the rear) and one single hinged door in front (1 x 790 mm x 1,580mm, optional available: lead glass window 540 mm x 540 mm) for the entry of the part that need to be inspected.
A CCD camera can optionally be installed inside the enclosure to observe the inside. Additional CCD cameras can be provided. For the safety of the operators, if a door is inadvertently opened while x-rays are being generated, the x-rays will be automatically turned off.
The primary x-ray beam direction is horizontal. The x-ray source and the shutter are mounted on the ceiling stand (left). On the opposite side is an image intensifier system (right).
The external illuminated flashing radiation-warning light (signs) will be placed at the top of the enclosure. The warning sign will be illuminated at any time radiation is produced.
The enclosure will be painted in your choice of color. Default is RAL 7032.

Vertical 320kV Radiation Shielded Enclosure
The vertical 320kV Radiation Shielded Enclosure is a flexible and compact system that can accommodate high-resolution digital panels, CR plates, or film for imaging. The viewing area is dependant on imaging technique, and the cabinet can accommodate large samples up to 32" x 32". Loading/unloading of inspection samples by vertical motor driven sliding door.
